It is a school where staff enjoy a range of benefits that foster health and wellbeing, and students achieve outstanding academic success supported by innovative teaching practices that are underpinned by a whole school approach to Positive Education.We are seeking to appoint a Years 10-12 Coordinator to support the Head of Senior School to assist the Year Coordinators, Assistant Year Coordinators and Mentors in Years 10-12, in addition to supporting the Ravenswood Wellbeing Unit consisting of a team of School Psychologists and other staff supporting student wellbeing.This role involves providing support for staff working with students with social/emotional/behavioral concerns, as well as working with students and parents. Part of this role also includes the development of programs for student wellbeing in conjunction with the Head of Positive Education and Visible Wellbeing and Head of Senior School and working with our Deputy â Teaching and Learning, the Learning Enrichment team and other academic staff in the support of students in Years 10-12. There is also a student management component of this role in consultation with the Head of Senior School.This is a permanent, full time position and will commence at the beginning of Term 1, 2025.There is a teaching load associated with this position. You will need to be able to demonstrate your teaching ability in your KLA.To secure this role you will;Demonstrate strong interpersonal, collaboration and communication skillsShow commitment to positive education and wellbeing and a genuine interest in developing expertise in this areaHave an understanding of the legislative framework and best practices regarding safeguarding, welfare, health and safety of children and young people in schoolsDemonstrate leadership in the area of Child Protection and collaboration with Wellbeing staff in the management of students at riskBe an effective classroom teacher with a solid understanding of the curriculumBe confident in differentiating curriculum in the classroomHave a passion for your KLA, and a creative and enthusiastic teaching style; andEnjoy working in a committed and professional team within the Christian ethos of the schoolEssential criteria:Qualification in Education and registration with NESA;Proactive and innovative approach; Ability to work collaboratively within a team; andExperience in a Year Coordination roleTo Apply:Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume.
