The role is a temporary parental leave cover, commencing at the beginning of Term 4, 2025, and concluding at the end of Term 3, 2026.To be successful in securing this position, you will have demonstrated knowledge and skills in learning support encompassing:Specific experience teaching Stage 3 and Stage 4 students.Understanding of student learner variability and how to meet the individual needs of students with learning differences and disabilities.Knowledge of current research and best practices in teaching neurodiverse learners and the Multi-Tiered System of Supports.Understanding of legal obligations to support students' access to learning programs on the same basis as other students.Experience in designing, implementing, and delivering learning support programs, including modifications and adjustments to curriculum and assessments.Collaboration with the Learning Enrichment team and classroom teachers to deliver evidence-informed programs and utilise a co-teaching support model of instruction.Experience developing Individual Learning Profiles and administering disability provisions for specified assessment tasks.Experience communicating with parents and case-managing students identified with additional learning needs, in consultation with classroom teachers.Essential QualificationsFormal qualifications in Inclusive Education or Special EducationStrongly desirable but not essential: Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme. To Apply:Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume.
