Working closely with our Debating Convenor, this role will attend the debates with our students each Friday afternoon and evening in Terms 1 and 2, and Tuesday afternoon and evening in Term 2 and 3, to ensure the smooth running of the debating program. The debates are held at various schools and locations including onsite at Ravenswood. The hours are 3.30pm – 10pm and the finish time may vary slightly each week depending upon where the debate is being held.At Ravenswood, we wish to excite students' interest in pursuing their studies both in the classroom and through co-curricular experiences. The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience working with students, teachers, parents and external parties in a school setting.Essential criteria:Ability to follow any Debating competition rules and regulations whilst working within school procedures;Experience communicating with students, teachers, parents and external parties;Experience with Microsoft Office suite and ability to use other web-based management applications;Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.Desirable criteria:Experience participating in, coaching or organising Debating in a school or other setting;Experience with management systems such as Clipboard and Synergetic.To Apply:Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume.
