We are seeking an Assistant Head of Department and History and Legal Studies Teacher, commencing Term 1, 2027. As the Assistant Head of Department, you will be responsible for supporting the Head of Department in the continuous improvement and delivery of the History, Legal Studies and Society and Culture curriculum across Years 7 -12, including the Higher School Certificate (HSC) and International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.

The successful applicant will be an excellent and engaging classroom practitioner, who demonstrates creativity and rigour in the delivery of curriculum and enjoys working in a committed and professional team.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Experience teaching Year 7 - 10 History
Experience teaching HSC Legal Studies
Experience teaching HSC Modern History, Ancient History, or Society and Culture (desirable)
The ability to integrate digital technologies and ICT effectively into teaching and learning
Skill in differentiating curriculum delivery to meet diverse student needs
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
A collaborative, flexible and proactive approach to working within a professional team
A commitment to academic excellence, innovation and continuous improvement
